In this video presentation, I talk about the importance of providing ourselves with the power of acceptance and compassion when dealing with powerful feelings. We can get consumed by our thoughts and feelings everyday, and this can be especially true for trauma survivors. The tools of acceptance and compassion validates our experiences which is necessary in shifting ourselves from a place of hurting to healing.

Such helpful practice showing where thoughts, feelings and difficult sensations live in the body. Tuning in is helpful. Acceptance and compassion help us to hold and tune in, instead of resisting or turning away..

yes the pain does have a gift for us and I loved what you share towards the end about deciding what we wish to replace those old familiar feeling, lately that is coming forward as a possibility for me, at least some of the time.. your video was very affirming and grounding.
